Well, this only applies to people using Pokémon Heart Gold on NO$GBA, specifically.

Have you ever attempted to play HG on NO$ only to realize that you couldn't get pass the shrinking scene or Whitney's gym because the game freezes after saving? Well, just because I eventually figured it out while watching another youtube video, I figured if this forum had a Pokémon guide section, I would point it out.

Apparently, HG has some anti-piracy lock (from what I read up) that causes the save and shrinking problems. To fix this, one has to actually emulate the actual DS using the BIOS files. After putting the BIOS files (BIOSNDS7.ROM, BIOSNDS9.ROM, firmware.bin, and gba.rom.bin) in the NO$GBA folder, setting NO$GBA to use them (Options -> Emulation Setup -> Reset/Startup Entrypoint -> GBA BIOS (Nintendo Logo)), and then opening an encrypted ROM, the save/shrinking problems suddenly disappear! And, that's all.

Run the Decrypter with the Decrypted ROM inside the same folder, then hit "1". That should decrypt the ROM. Just ignore any error messages. It happens, but that usually doesn't affect much. Afterwards, move the BIOS files to the NO$GBA folder, move the ROM to the SLOT folder (if it's there, if not, make it), and open NO$. If the settings are set to load the BIOS, then after choosing your ROM, the DS Menu Screen will appear, and you can click the game. Now when you play it, the freezing disappears!

And, I'm done. Admins, Mods (if they can, I haven't tried doing it), whoever: delete, modify, or move this thread if you want. But I honestly think this would be helpful (to somebody.......)
